Overview
Every MotionOps user has a personal referral code. When another contractor subscribes using your code, you earn a $150 reward and they get a discount on their first three months.
Your code and a ready-made booking link are both on your referral page, ready to copy and send.
Available in the Web App and the Mobile App.
When to Use This
Another contractor at a trade show asks what you use to run your business.
A plumber you subcontract to is still running jobs on paper.
Someone in a local contractor group asks for software recommendations.
A friend in a different trade is outgrowing spreadsheets.
You're already recommending MotionOps and may as well be paid for it.
How It Works
Your referral code is unique to you and is created automatically - there's nothing to sign up for.
You share either the code itself or your personal Book a Demo link, which carries the code along with it.
The reward is triggered when the person you referred enters your code at checkout on their first subscription. Sharing the link alone doesn't earn anything — they have to subscribe with the code applied.
Both sides get something: you receive $150, and they receive 50% off their first three months.
How to Find Your Referral Code on the Web App
Open your referral page by clicking on the gift box icon in the top navigation.
Copy either item to your clipboard:
Your referral code - a short code they enter at checkout and when booking a demo.
Your Book a Demo link - a link that already includes your code, so they don't have to type it.
Send it however suits - text, email, or in person.
How to Find Your Referral Code on the Mobile App
Open the More section.
Open the referral page.
Tap to copy the code or the link.
This is the version most contractors will use, since referrals usually happen in conversation rather than at a desk.

The referral page links to the full terms and conditions, which open in a new tab or your browser.
Read them before promising anything specific to someone - the terms are the authority on eligibility and how the reward is paid.

Tips & Best Practices
Send the link, not the code. The link carries your code automatically, so there's nothing for them to mistype or forget.
Lead with their discount, not your reward. "You'll get 50% off your first three months" lands better than mentioning what you get.
Refer people in other trades. A plumber and an electrician aren't competing, so the recommendation is easy for both of you.
Keep the link in your phone. Copy it once into your notes and it's ready the next time the conversation comes up on a job site.
Mention the specific thing that helped you. "It cut my invoicing time in half" is more persuasive than a general recommendation.

Troubleshooting
I can't find my referral code.
On mobile it's under the More section. On web it's on your referral page. Every user has one - if the page is empty, contact support.
Someone signed up but didn't use my code.
The reward depends on the code being applied at checkout. Without it there's no record connecting the subscription to you. Sending your Book a Demo link instead of the bare code avoids this.
Where do I see how much I've earned?
Earnings tracking isn't available in the app yet. Contact support for the current status of a referral you've made.
My referral booked a demo but hasn't subscribed.
The reward is tied to a paid subscription with the code applied, so nothing is earned at the demo stage.
