How to schedule appointments on the MotionOps Mobile App

The MotionOps mobile app makes it easy for any team member to create, manage, and view appointments directly from their phone or tablet. Whether scheduling a job, creating an on site visit, or adding a general company event, everything can be done directly from the mobile Schedule page without needing access to the desktop app.

The mobile scheduling feature also allows team members to quickly view their own schedule or switch between other team member calendars to see upcoming appointments and availability.

Opening the Schedule Page

When opening the MotionOps mobile app, the Schedule page should normally load automatically. If it does not, users can manually open it by tapping the Schedule button located in the bottom middle navigation bar.

From the Schedule page, users can:

  • View upcoming appointments

  • Switch between calendar views

  • Create new appointments

  • View other team member schedules

Creating a New Appointment

To create a new appointment:

  1. Open the Schedule page

  2. Tap the green + button in the top right corner

  3. Select one of the three appointment types:

    • On Site Visit

    • Work Appointment

    • General Event

After selecting the appointment type, users can begin filling out the appointment details.

Creating On Site Visits & Work Appointments

For On Site Visits and Work Appointments, users will first need to:

  1. Select the customer account

  2. Select the service location for the job

After that, fill out the remaining appointment information such as:

  • Date and time

  • Assigned team member

  • Appointment notes

  • Additional scheduling details

Once all information has been entered, tap the green Save & Publish button at the bottom of the screen to add the appointment to the schedule.

Creating General Events

General Events work similarly but do not require a customer account or service location.

To create a General Event:

  1. Select General Event as the appointment type

  2. Fill out the event details

  3. Tap Save & Publish

This is commonly used for:

  • Team meetings

  • Training

  • Office events

  • Internal scheduling blocks

  • Other non-customer appointments

Viewing Team Member Calendars

The mobile app also allows users to switch between team member schedules directly from the Schedule page.

To view another calendar:

  1. Open the Schedule page

  2. Select My Schedule

  3. Choose the team member whose schedule you want to view

This makes it easy to check availability, coordinate scheduling, and view upcoming appointments for different members of the team directly from the mobile app.
