Overview
Skills and Grades in MotionOps is an essential feature for companies with 5+ team members or subcontractors. This tool helps you match the right person to the right job by tracking and evaluating each team member's skills.
Additionally, it can be used to monitor progress, provide training opportunities, and even create pathways for promotions, making it a valuable asset for team development and efficient scheduling.
Setting up Skills and Grades
Click on the circle in the top right corner of the screen, then select Business Settings from the drop-down menu.
On the left-hand side, choose Skills and Grades.
On the Skills and Grades page, click the green "New Skill" button on the top right.
Enter the skills that your company needs or uses. You can add as many skills as necessary and adjust them later by clicking the three dots to the right of each skill to rename or delete them.
After setting up your skills, click the "Grades" button on the top left.
You can either use the preset grading system or create a custom grading system that fits your company's needs.
Once your Skills and Grades are set up, you can start assigning them to your team members or subcontractors:
From the Skills and Grades settings page, click the green "Add Team Members" button or the white circle button next to it to add team members in bulk or individually.
Alternatively, go to the Team Member section of the software, select the team member you want to assign skills and grades to, scroll down to the Skills and Grades section on the right, and click the blue "Add Skills" button. From here, you can add and customize the skills and grades for that employee.
By properly setting up and utilizing Skills and Grades, you can ensure that your team members are effectively matched to the tasks they’re best suited for, leading to improved performance and job satisfaction.
