Overview

The Timesheets feature in MotionOps is vital for managing hourly employees and tracking the time spent on jobs. This tool helps ensure accurate payroll processing, provides insights into labor costs, and aids in refining job bids based on actual time expenditures.

By monitoring timesheets closely, you can optimize scheduling, manage labor costs effectively, and ensure that your team is being paid accurately for their work.

Managing Timesheets

  1. View Timesheets:

    • Click on Timesheets in the top navigation bar, fourth from the right. This will open the main timesheets page where you can view all pending and approved timesheets.

    • Click on an individual timesheet to see detailed information, including a geo-stamp showing where your team members clocked in and out.

  2. Approve Timesheets:

    • If the timesheet is accurate, press the green "Approve" button at the bottom left of the screen. You can also select multiple timesheets to approve them all at once.

  3. Manage Payroll:

    • Click on Payroll Approval, located next to Timesheets on the top center of the screen, to view the status of work orders for payroll. Timesheets will automatically appear as "Not Prepared" until processed.

    • Use the "Export" button on the top right to download timesheets as a CSV or PDF file. Filter by date range and employee to select the relevant data. You can then manually enter the payroll data into your payroll software or upload the file if your software supports it.

Utilizing the Timesheets feature ensures you maintain accurate records, streamline payroll processes, and make informed decisions about future job bids based on detailed time tracking.
